Cherish number plate

My late husband passed away a few years ago and I as executor wrote to the DVLA To retain the number as his nominee.
i want to sell the number plate now but the retention certificate has me as the nominee and the owner is stated as The Executor of the late (husbands name) which is also me but doesn’t state my name.  Can anyone advise me if I am now able to sell it please ?
TIA

You should be able to sell - you may need to provide proof you are the executor, such as a copy of the grant of probate.
