Do you have an outlet store place near you?
For example https://braintree-village.com/shops/lindt usually has some good prices. There is a Thorntons there too https://braintree-village.com/food-and-drink/thorntons
Most outlet places have a Lindt store now, I've been to Wembley (LDO), Icon at the O2, Braintree and Ashford.
But as others have said just keeping an eye on supermarket offers can work well.1 -

Hi yes I suppose so it's nice for them to be able to share with the family as you say,I suppose they get something from lots of homes so collectively they do quite well,so perhaps I shouldn't put too much pressure on myself.I do thoughtful things for them through the year and they do know that I appreciate them

Have you thought about some kind of pampering item. Perhaps a nice hand / foot cream? The sort of thing they may not treat themselves too.0

I'd get a tub of Cadbury Heroes. They're ideal for adults and children, mini versions of well known branded chocolate bars. As you want an online order you could check out the prices in all the supermarkets.1

You might want to check what size gifts they are allowed to accept as well. Our limit used to be under a fiver.Honestly, any token of appreciation is nice, regardless of the cost. Tubs of Roses or similar go down a treat with most people.Tbh I’d rather have something like that than a homemade food gift. Without wanting to be rude, I’d be cautious about some people’s food hygiene standards. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
Thorntons is horrible chocolate. Most British chocolate is more sugar than cacao. You might find unusual jams at a farmers market. Or you could have a trawl for special offers on things which come in handy at Christmas e.g. Piccalilli, pickled onions, pickled eggs, Branston, Dijon mustard.1

8 x £10 doesn't just seem a lot of money, it IS a lot of money. Tesco have big tubs of Heroes, QS etc at £4 each. There are really nice fabric re-usable Christmas-themed bags on Amazon at £1.63 each, which if filled with a mix of wrapped chocolates would make really attractive seasonal gifts. Ordered now they should be with you in plenty of time: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08FCCP6HV/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=A2J3FO4XI4DWA4&psc=13

Heroes would be my pick - I think it's the best out of those types of selections.1
