Did you do a whole market comparison? Why are you surprised and confused about Bulb (bearing in mind you're new to this)? Will the meter reading issue be any different with Bulb?0

hopperdennis said:I’m surprised and confused that Bulb, who seem to operate the same way as my current duel provider Boost PAYG, came up cheapest for my needs (small usage) and area. I do appreciate the help and patience with me on this, it’s all new to me.Did you heed the advice to use the Citizens Advice and 'Switch with Which?' comparison sites?Octopus has a better rating on Citizens Advice than Bulb.Octopus has a slightly better rating on CEC than Bulb.If you go with Bulb, get a referral on the Referrals Board on MSE.1

Yes I saw that the rating was slightly better with Octopus although there seemed to be more caveats and things to bare in mind with them vs Bulb, and of course Bulb was the cheapest. Bulb reads as if it’s a similar model to Boost and I just assumed that they wouldn’t be the cheapest, but what do I know. I did indeed do a whole market comparison based on 8k gas and 2k elec.0
