could anyone please help me,i have recently bought a norton 360 all-in-one security dvd(2007 activate plus dvd edition) for $3.00US from a shop in cambodia,will this be ok or will it do more harm than good to my l/top.

I would imagine at that price it is a pirate copy, and you will be unlikely to get the necessary updates, which means your lappie will be at risk
Have a look at the freebies for security and protection, rather than risk the headache of trying to get rid of some nasty or other0 -
1) Pirated and illegal
2) Due to untrusted source, could be slipstreamed with harmful software
3) Norton is a bloated piece of software...
Go to https://www.free-av.com and you have a virus scanner.
Google Zonealarm and you have a firewall
Google Spyboy S&D and you have spyware protection.
All free and all better than norton

the genuine version has a code number in the box for when you install it. if it doesnt have a code number it is not likely to work.0

I myself would not put norton onto any piece of kit I have, I think it is the most over-rated software there is. Nightmare to get rid of too when you discover it is useless. Just my humble opinion though, others may love it.0
