Virgin holiday discount

Virgin Holidays cancelled my holiday due to coronavirus but offered a discount of £150 if I wished to rebook a new holiday. I am entitled to a 7% discount off holidays for being a member of the Flying Club but Virgin are saying I cannot have the £150 discount as well as the Flying Club discount. The letter I got from Virgin says a discount of £150 off new bookings and I feel that this should be applied to my new booking otherwise I am not going any financial benefit for rebooking and not accepting a cash refund. Any views please.

I understand what you are saying and what you ideally want but this is quite common practice- only one discount applied to a new booking.
I had similar experience with TUI but knew of the terms. The voucher for the cancelled holiday in May was clear that no other discounts could be applied when rebooking. I’m on holiday in Turkey at the moment and it worked out cheaper for me to make a fresh booking with a promotional £100 off voucher code for this current trip than using my ‘up to 20% extra off” voucher from the cancelled TUI trip. I’ll save that for another day.
I cannot see you winning this one.0
