Help with Sun holidays

Hi all I booked a Sun holiday deal with a caravan park in North Wales.  The Sun has taken the payment from our credit card at the end of July but I have not heard anything from the park.  I have called them 3 times this week and each time I have been told that they have no records of our booking and someone will call me back but no one does.  I have  emailed them with no reply.  We are due to go on the 16th October.  I have tried the Sun helpline but I am just held in the queue.

Can anyone offer me any advise please?  I have never had a problem before.  I wonder if they are waiting to see if they have to go into lockdown.  If that is the case I wish they would just say.  I am concerned that if we don't go because I have no booking with them how will I prove it to get a refund from the Sun.

You can have a printout of your credit card statement to prove the money has been taken by them,

You should have some sort of confirmation email of the booking.

If it's done online you should always take a screenshot of the confirmation as backup for a situation like this. It's not that uncommon.

Never having done this kind of holiday I don't know how soon you could expect the paperwork about the booking. Some companies leave it to the very last minute. Do you know anyone that's done these holidays that you could ask about when to expect the paperwork?
