Mixing Jet2 flight with Tui accommodation via independent travel agent

Hi there. I'm looking to book a holiday in one of the greek islands in the next couple of weeks. Leeds is my nearest airport (20 minutes away) but Tui don't fly from there.
Jet2 fly from Leeds but they don't have any hotels I like the look of - and they are a lot more expensive.
Because of the current situation, I definitely want the security of a full package holiday.
If I went to for example hays travel or another independent, does anyone know if they would be able to put a package together combining the 2 elements I want, plus a transfer, and would it have the same protection if I just booked the whole thing with either Tui or Jet2.
Many thanks

Is that really a good idea at the moment? Book it all with the same person, direct with Jet2 or TUI, you have seen on here the nightmares people have been having getting refunds on DIY holidays and even packages booked though independents.3

yes I have, fair point. Actually looks like Leeds might be going in to some sort of lockdown tonight anyway so might be best to stay put lol!0

You can book hotels direct from TUI via their website, separate fom any package offers.Separately booked flights and accommodation do not constitute a regular package holiday, even if booked with the same provider such as TUI.So, if you opt for a mix n' match deal there is the possibility of a drama if one or other element of your reservations is cancelled.I would strongly recommend an off the shelf package from one of the major operators, even if it means flying from an airport which would not be your immediate preferred choice.
