I've not engaged with any plasterer's yet as I'm still trying to convince my Husband that the walls need more than sanding and filling, we have dado rail markings where it's been removed and other inexplicable lumps, bumps and dips. Though textured wallpaper would probably cover it lovely.
I just want to get an idea of how much I can expect to pay for a roughly 12x12 living room, we have 3 door ways and a large bay window but a few recesses and a chimney breast but no hole for a fireplace.
We're south west between Bristol and Gloucester but far enough out to not pay Bristol prices.
Many thanks

Rough ballpark figure would be £400 to £500. This is based on two guys, one day of work, and materials (I paid a similar amount for a 4x4m room including ceiling). You'll be as well to remove the skirting boards before the walls are skimmed. If you have wooden floors, put a thin squirt of expanding foam in the gap between floorboards & plaster before putting the skirting boards back on - This will stop any draughts from coming in around the edge of the room,Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0
