Make up your mind.
The board rules clearly say that recommendations should not be given. It would also be a breach of FSA rules for me to make any such recommendation.
That doesnt stop me discussing providers and products that have been named by someone else already as long as I use appropriate phrasing and dont word it as a recommendation to proceed with that regulated product.
The provider in question only deals through IFAs so if I was to name it you would only start whinging that I was touting for business. The fact it is cheaper than HL's SIPP for funds over £100k would only fuel your negativity.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Dunstohn... The buisness is yours if you want it. especially if it's skandia or winterthur i'm more than happy to do it execution only. I'll even throw in a commenerative silver coin we employees had when provident life moved to basingstoke just before winterthur took them over.0

No doubt you will let us know if you find anyone oddiZTrying to keep it simple...0

Well it's not that difficult to find out Ed, Dunstonh's aleady said elsewhere two of the companies that'll do it are ifa only which immedietly brings to mind Skandia and Winterthur to this ex IFA (aka Retired IFA on this board, couldnt sign in as such though thus I reregistered, besides which as i said before i'm wayout of touch now and the nick was imo carrying too much weight with my opinion)
I still cant remember the company that would do drawdown for protected and non protected rights with no minimum premium, it was however a household name but there again it possibly no longer exists as such.0 -
On thing i'd like to add for anyone reading this in a simlar position with a small fund.
Your gonna get screwed with annuites!
As a smoker, way overweight shopping around I managed to get a rate of 3.77% for the £1800 at £68p/a yearly in advance with no gaurentee or widows and Mr fit 'n healthy with a bigger fund can get £110 p/a proportionally. Drawdown's max is a bit higher and leaves you with death benefits.0 -

Oh dear - the enemy to Ed.
You might get your Thanks recinded.
LOL nah i'm nobody's enemy, It's just my way. I'm known for not mincing my words. When I see something inbetween blatently wrong, and slightly confusing I usually reply with "what a load of crap." Goes down great sometimes, even did once when I shouted it out to a Judge.:D= EdInvestor].. Neither of these are e/o AFAIK.
They are companies that distribute their products soley through IFA's Anyone can take out an investment on an execution only basis with any company. In this case i'm saying i'm happy to sign a letter saying I've took no advice from anyone and thus only I can be blamed if it goes belly up.0 -

Tell it like you see it - nothing wrong with that although it might cause you problems in some areas.
As to enemy I didn't mean you personally. I meant the fact that you had just admitted to being an IFA.0
