    More desirable but people might feel more inclined to try their chance with a cheeky offer if their is no chain. So if anything it detracts from the price.

    It should improve your position in negotiations with a seller. I would like to buy from someone in your position and my offer would probably reflect that. But I wouldn't say it adds value in that you could increase your asking price.
