I've just received a jury summons for November. I am in the process of selling my house - it's sold, just going through legal process although we do have one issue at the moment which could mean the house sale falls through. If it doesn't fall through, I could well be living in my new house by the jury date which is in November and I will be living about a 3 hour drive away from the court. Can I be excused on that basis?

DS2 was still using this address when he got a jury summons, living several hours away. He was able to move it to different dates and near where he was living.Signature removed for peace of mind1
