**SEARCH FAULT** Search only updating once every 24 hours **POSSIBLY SOLVED AFTER 6 MONTHS**

Any thread posted since approx 7:30pm is not being returned in search results.
This is serious and grows as more threads get posted.

ETA.
A clear pattern is now apparent.

Search fails to find any threads posted since the previous 7:30pm.
So every evening just before 7:30pm a full 24 hours of new threads are invisible to the search process.
Just after 7:30pm these threads suddenly become searchable, but new posts can not be found again.
This pattern repeats every 24 hours.

Today no results are being returned since about 7:30pm on 21/10 ie. an extra day's threads missing.

What on Earth is urgent about a search fault on MSE...?

Its not like they are anything particularly new.

3 weeks later and still happening, very disappointed with the lack of response.

4 weeks now and no progress - in fact it is getting worse.

On 23/10 Search can only find threads posted before 7:30pm on 21/10
That's 42 hours (and growing) threads invisible to search.

I have been finding posts up to 9pm on 21/10 but nothing after although finding ones that are there can be very difficult when the results include all the sub-forums by default and are in no recognisable order.
But the posters names now seem to be showing OK.

After 6 months waiting, it looks as though this may have been fixed. Monitoring over the next few days will show if the fix is reliable and stable.
