Virgin Experience Days

I bought 2 x Virgin Experience Days for my daughter for Christmas last year. Obviously she hasn't been able to use them this year due to Covid-19. I wrongly assumed that both experience days would have an expiration date of 1 year from the date of purchase. In fact the iFly experience expired on the 1st September, 2020 which I only discovered when I tried to book on the 7th September. So basically Virgin are saying that this experience has expired and cannot be used. The other experience was for a flying trapeze lesson which doesn't expire until December but is only open until the end of October and is fully booked up until then. I have contacted Virgin Experience Days customer services by email, as you are unable to contact them by phone but I've received absolutely no reply. Has anyone else had trouble using these gift experiences? Or have had luck getting a refund? I know that Virgin are extending their expiry dates but both these options are not a solution for me due to the Sept expiry date of one and the summer seasonal bookings only for the other. Any help gratefully received as I'm over £100 out of pocket with a very disappointed daughter.

Hi there this company commit robbery all the time, I had a voucher for my 50th Birthday last year, I checked out the website early on in the year during the 3rd lock down and it stated that the voucher cards were being extended till September so i didn't bother booking anything and now tried to book and it says expired and only cards with June dates on are being extended. Anyone else had any luck extending? 8 months out of 12 in lock down its just not fair not to extend them. Feeling really annoyed and lost out on £100

Who bought you the voucher? How did they pay?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

In a similar situation with Activity Superstore - two vouchers were extended to 1/6/21 - obviously haven't been able to use them but they are now asking for £20 to extend them for a further six months. I think this is unreasonable and think they should offer a further extension free. Gov advice (link below) seems to suggest that they should offer a full refund.

Do you think I should suggest to them that they extend further for no charge - £20 admin fee seems a bit rich frankly...

Have you been on the Virgin website and put your voucher number and PIN in?
I had 2 given last Feb(2020) that were due to expire Oct 2020,they were extended to March 2021 automatically by Virgin, checked again last night and they are Exp Aug 2021 now.
They are different things but might be worth looking
