Best place to invest £15k

I have an endowment policy coming to full term mid Oct. My morgage has been paid in full and so I would like to know the best place to invest 2/3 of the policy, approx £15k? I know savings rates are terrible so any advice would be great. Thank you

If you are now debt free with no mortgage you only need to have money for living and retiring.
Spare for living would be safe in Premium Bonds, you can do it all on line with instant access to funds.
For retirement you should consider gold. You can go physical or in tax wrapped products such as ISA's and SIPP..._
