Bulb Energy producing final bill nearly 3 months after switch

Hi

We left Bulb Energy after so many issues, however even leaving wasn't straight forward.

We left in February 2020 but in May they decided to send us a bill for £400. Just short of 12 weeks after we left them.

According to the T&C's...

"An energy supplier should send the final bill within 6 weeks of the end of the supply"

We have taken it to the Ombudsman who has upheld our compliant and offered a token gesture as compensation, we can either accept the outcome or we would need to go to court to pursue it further.

I guess my question is, if a supplier is in breach of the T&C do we still have to pay the bill?

Thanks!

There's no get out of jail card, you'll still have to pay the bill.  The rules weren't tightened up until 1st May 2020.  Take the compo and run !
