DCB Legal Letter of Claim - What Can I Expect Next?

Thanks. The POC just says "breach of the terms on Cs signs" without specifying what particular term they believe I breached. Given it's a pay and display car park, I assume it's in relation to this. On those particular days, at this moment in time, I don't have evidence that I bought a ticket, nor do the photos show a ticket (however the photos are taken within a one minute window) so it's perfectly possible I was in the process of buying a ticket or leaving having changed my mind about where I was parking. The ticket machines at the time had no VRN and were paid for in cash. Also it's worth noting that they are claiming on 4 PCNs (in the same claim), should I do a defence for all four together or four separate defences?Le_Kirk said:
Does it matter why you were there? Just use the template defence and adapt paragraphs 2 & 3 to refute the particulars of claim (POC). If, for example, the POC states you had no permit, you say you did, it it relates to overstaying, you didn't overstay. I haven't read back through your thread. Just adapt and post your TWO paragraphs here for critique.PTRed said:I have now received the Claim Form, I understand the steps from here.
One thing I could do with help on:
All of the claims relate to PCNs from 2019, I work in the location of the car park and there are several reasons why I might have been on campus momentarily on those days, or even in the middle of getting a parking ticket (which I wouldn't have kept for no reason) - what do I do for my defence if, at the moment, I am not sure why I was there.
I will take a look at the defence and try to relate this more closely to my particulars.0 -

I haven't done AOS - the form came through an hour ago.1 -
Then dont do it yet - wait for five days

Great, thanks, I'll wait the 5 days.
Any help on the above queries around not, at this moment, knowing the facts of the days in question and defending multiple claims at once, from anybody is appreciated as I start to put together my defence.0 -
The SAR to the DPO should obtain details on each PCN and therefore on the alleged contraventions
If the vehicle wasn't there long , then grace periods may apply , grace periods also cover obtaining a ticket or permit
If the p o c are not explicit , find a defence that says so and copy their wording about it , that you will elaborate in the WS when the facts are known
Until you post the 2 paragraphs , you won't get critique that can assist you2 -
Should there be 4 versions of the defence for each PCN, or only one if the defence for each ticket is the same?0
-
one defence should cover all of them , providing the location and vehicle and PPC is all the same
