Amazon shares

HI Martin, I have just been reading about Amazon shares and how much they are gonna peak in the next few years, do you know anything about this and do you think its worth investing in them and do you know how to get started. Also how much would you reckon I should invest if this is true ??

Martin (presumably Lewis) isn't going to reply as (to the best of my knowledge to be fair) he doesn't frequent the forums.
and how much they are gonna peak in the next few years,
How much are they gonna peak?
do you know anything about this and do you think its worth investing in them
Why would Martin Lewis know about this?
do you know how to get started.

If you know its true - everything you have. However since neither you, not anyone else, knows it is true don't invest anything you can't afford to see drop in value.

Investing in individual shares is risky and required more detailed research.

For a starting investor diversified, global funds are generally suggested as a more sensible starting point. You need to be prepared for your money to go down as well as up. Don't invest money you will need in the short (<5 years) term, and ideally you would be able to invest for longer than that.

No one can tell you that Amazon shares are 'gonna peak in the next few years'  (and anyone who does tell you that is lying) least of all Martin.

Shares are not predictable like that.  If they were we'd all be millionaires.

And Martin doesn't, as far as I'm aware, read this forum, he certainly doesn't reply to queries!

Read about investing on the main part of the site:  https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/investment-beginners/

And note that investing in just one company is usually considered risky.

The markets look forward , so if they think that Amazon value  will continue to grow over the next couple of years , then that is already priced into the shares today .
  • If it was a sure bet that Amazon shares were going to go up, what do you think would happen to the share price?

The price of any share reflects the view of the market as to the price of that share at that point in time. From there the share could go up, down or sideways.
