PCN Loading Bay

I run a not for profit youth theatre at a theatre in an evening. I was told by the theatre technician I could park in the loading bay when working there as long as no loading truck for the show was in situ.
This week I received a PCN for parking there and the technician (in fact all theatre staff bar one) are still on furlough.
Is it even worth me contesting?

Is it even worth me contesting? Why wouldn't you?
You need to tell us more. Is this a council or private parking charge? If the latter, which parking firm is pursuing you?
If a private parking ticket, date of parking event and date of sending/issue shown on the letter you've received? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, sometimes it can lead to cancellation., i
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, and darfts have beenopened for publc consulatation,
Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, under new legislation but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Unfortunately it is a council PCN not a private firm. I did receive one there before from a private firm and contested it successfully but I'm not sure the council will have the same view..0
