We've had a few more viewings but no luck yet unfortunately.

Just to update you all. We dropped the price slightly and after 7 viewings post-relist, we accepted an offer last week from a First Time Buyer! It's on the low side but we really didn't want to lose this private purchase as they'd been happy to wait '2-3 weeks'.
The vendors have now accepted a slightly revised and lower offer which means we could still manage the mortgage and everything is go!
I've just given the details to the EA and solicitors and am awaiting the full mortgage application form. Hopefully with a FTB it could go through fairly quickly if they have no issues with mortgages and deposit

I have noticed a greater tendency for houses being sold by relatives (e.g. following a death) to be overpriced. Don't be surprised if this family try for a high price as they'll be worried about care costs and will want to wring every penny they can out of the house.Indeed, it will also include selling it in a timely fashion to be able to afford CH fees rather than getting chucked out into a cheaper place because they hung on too long.Far too simplistic to say "highest price" and how anyway does one know that?2 -

I think I replied to you PM yesterday just after 16.00. Let me know if you didn't get it, and I'll try again.
