Remote learning and universal credit

Going to be returning back for my postgraduate degree but the uni is doing remote learning. I know when studying at the Open University, you could still claim UC and wondering since most of the material in the course is learn in your own time, is there any way I could still claim UC while studying?

Hi, I used to work in a Jobcentre, so thing may have changed recently but I think this will still stand. If you are a full time student you won’t be able to claim UC (irrespective of where you study) Unless you fall into one of the exempt categories such as having dependant children etc. 
The reason you can claim with open university is that the course are part time with options to complete over a long period of time and study full time if you wish- but you would still need to meet all work related requirements.
Anyway, any postgrad course that is funded on the basis that it is full time will make you ineligible for UC.
The other thing to bear in mind is any student loan you receive is deducted from UC and it is calculated on the max loan you are entitled to, even if you chose not to take the full amount.
