Oh dear, looks like you don't have any other choice than to call your boiler engineer if that's the case. Bit of a bummer. That's one of the reasons I'm reluctant to have my old meter changed. It's just another opportunity for something to go wrong during the process.

Not sure if you have called anyone out yet, but there are a few things you could check, try the reset function of the boiler. If thats not working, make sure the emergency control valve is in the on position, this is found where you meter is situated. If it is off, Its advisable not to turn it on and I would call SMS back and let them know the job wasn't completed properly.
