Changing meters

Hi...I moved into a property around 6 weeks ago. The energy is supplied by spark 🙁 I have a 1st generation smart billed electric meter and a prepayment gas meter. I want to change the gas meter to billed, spark just keep fobbing me off, I also want to switch but suppliers are saying it’ll cost £120 to change the meter. Does anyone know anyone that won’t charge this? I’ve contacted EDF, octopus, bulb and utilita. The only one that will do it is utility warehouse but I’m sure I’ve heard bad things about them. Thanks in advance

£60 per meter is not unusual. Your priority is to get off Spark first and onto a competitive tariff. If this is a rental property, then the odds are that your LL or LA received a bung from Spark, which you are now repaying in higher rates. No free lunch, and no free laptop
