New Business Website Help Please

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone knows what the most cost effective way of writing a Cookie & Privacy Policy is and also a Terms & Conditions for my new website?
The company who is designing my new website have advised that it is my responsibility to provide them with this information - which is fine. I'm just not sure who to contact for help and associated costs for this type of service?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks.

There are a few legal resource websites that will give you stock wordings but if they are appropriate for your needs or not is another Q. The robust way is obviously to get a solicitor to either review them or write them for you... maybe a quick chat before hand to see which is the cheaper of the two.
Obviously in reality many people just copy/paste someone elses and change the company name in them but you're at a risk then both of them not being suitable and infringing someone's copyright.2 -
Agree with Sandtree.
Website terms appear very generic anyway, but you need to make sure they cover how your business website operates.
This is a project for you to research other websites and see how they work. Try to find ones similar to your own, look at how the terms cover the website.
If in doubt, contact Solicitors that help with website terms, but this may be expensive. if you have been receiving self employment advice from any organisation, then perhaps they can help.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.1 -
Hi,
Many thanks for your replies
I've contacted a Solicitor who specialises in this type of thing and they are going to write them for me.
Thanks.
