Furlough

Options
Confused!
According to the government the Furlough Scheme terminates at the end of October and our PM has announced this lockdown could continue for a further 6 months.
So those relying on furlough what will happen to them?

Comments

  • They'll either have to go back to work, or the company will have to pay furlough themselves or make people redundant.
It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better unfortunately - furlough was fantastic, but there just isn't the money to carry it on.
  • Go back to work or work from home if you can is the obvious answer.

If its anything like what is being mooted (employers cut people down to half hours and the Govt make up the difference) its hardly going to help those sectors of the economy that havent reopened up yet
