Once topped up, the phones will be active for 6 months. After that, you'll have to top up again before you can receive more calls

What are the top up requirements after 6 months?. Could not find this info in Tmobile site.

As long as you top up at least once every six months the phone'll stay active. Otherwise the network will just assume it isn't being used.

    Hi Lawrence.
Is this six month top up standard with Pay as You Go or particular to these juicy deals?

I was aware that with most Pay as You Go you need to make an account charge every 6 months, that is a chargeable call/text etc.

    Thanks

As I understand it, the conditions vary as per network and tariff, but you're right regarding those above; you do need to make an account charge within each six months to keep the handset active, and to add credit at least once each six months.

I got the Motorola F3 free from Tesco's today as part of their deal of the day.
Buy £20 worth of Tesco credit and get the phone free.

And if you don't need the phone, send it back them for recycling and get upto 500 clubcard points per phone (£20 in deals) and you can sell your top ups on ebay too, so £20 for nothing hyperthecially.

Normally a chargeable call needs to be made before 180 days elapse (some Vodafone tariffs have been 90 days) to keep the number active but it is not necessary "to add credit at least once each six months".

Thanks for that info. How do I port my number?

You ask for PAC[Port Authorization Code] from your current network provider. Once you get it, you need to provide this to the new network provider....that's it

Your number will be carried on into the new network

Nokia 1600 handset is not available anymore from T Mobile or Quidco sites. I think it sold out.
Any one use LG KG275 Handset, how good is it?
  • Hi MSE Lawrence,

On Vodafone if you don't use your phone or top up in 180 days the SIM enters a "quarantined" state for a further 90 days before it's cancelled. If you want to get it activated again during those 90 days you need to top up by at least £15.

    Hope this helps,

I can confirm the advice given by espresso. All you need to do is to make one chargeable call or SMS before 180 days elapse to stay fully operational.

I wish this was the same on my Spanish SIM card where you _do_ need to top up every 6 months for the card to remain active.

I just bought LG KG 275 on ORANGE from Sainsburys and want to unlock it.
Can anybody help me to find free codes for this handset?

    Thanks for any advice
