Adult child wants to claim UC, I'm on WTC will it be affected?

Hi guys,
As stated above; I'm on working tax credits -due to disability meaning I can't work full-time hours.
My 18 year old is now jobseeking (not getting anywhere due to location/covid), has suggested that they make an independent claim for universal credit.
They're not currently on my WTC claim as they were removed/child tax credit stopped due to them studying (which they've now finished). They've not received any income this financial year.
The last thing I want is to move to universal credit - will their claim trigger any changes to mine?
Thanks in advance, I don't want them to be skint but I'm very nervous where benefits changes are concerned.

Any claim they make for UC will not affect your WTC and it will not prompt a move for you to UC. He/she will not be entitled to claim for help with any rent if they live with you. A single person under the age of 18 will be entitled to £342.72 per month. Do be aware that the standard allowance of UC has been increased by £90 per month and is expected to return to it's normal amount from April 2021.
