Joint bank account - no credit check

My boyfriend and I are moving in together, his credit score is perfect mine is shockingly bad. We will be sharing bills ao ideally need a joint account, however i dont want to be financially linked as i dont want to ruin his credit score. Is there a joint account out there even just basic for direct debits thats wont hurt his score? Im assuming if not one of us will just have to set up a bills account and give the
other person access :-/

You can't have a joint account without being financially linked but if his credit history is otherwise good being financially linked to someone with some issues in the past won't have too big an impact.

You don't need a joint bank account to pay joint bills.
Any joint application will be credit scored so even making his account joint with you could be rejected.

Any joint account (even a basic current account without any credit facilities) will financially link you and both of you will be assessed when either of you make an application. Even having some bills in joint names could in theory also link you. Regardless, you don't need a joint account to pay joint bills - you can just transfer your half to him (or have your bf transfer his half to you) and then pay out from one of your accounts - no need to faff around with setting up a joint account.
