Hey everyone i could do with some help! I'm looking for your recommendation on removal companies to use in Redditch or any that can cover the Redditch area? I need your expert advice on how much you'd expect it to cost as its my first time moving using a removal company so not sure how much to expect to pay. I have a 2 bedroom house currently which i will need to remove both beds, 2 wardrobes, sofa, TV and other common household furniture from. What would you all expect the cost of this removal to be? Btw the destination is only 15 minutes away so it isnt a long drive if they charge you for distance also.

Have you tried Facebook to ask locals which companies they have used.1

Definitely agree with asking on local Facebook groups.
They will charge more if you need them to pack.
You shouldn't actually book them until you exchange. Just pencil in dates before that. (Unless you're prepared to risk losing money.)2024 wins: *must start comping again!*1 -
Mine was for a 3 bed house to a 4 bed house about 15 minutes away. £640 and i was glad to pay it. Also it was during the lockdown in May so I was happy to get anyone. lol.
They arrived at 9:30 am at the old house, and were done at the new house at 12:30 pm. This did not include packing but they did break down and reassemble our ikea beds. Also they put everything in the correct room, were really nice and didn't break anything.

What are people opinions on choosing a removal company or a man with a van kind of thing? What do you prefer or recommend is best during the current pandemic0

When we moved from London to Bromsgrove, the man with a van didn't turn up!So I have an opinion on that 😂
We had to rent a Van at the last second, do it ourselves and ask our buyers if we could leave some stuff in the airing cupboard for a day. Thank goodness we only lived in a small flat at the time.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

My quote won't be much use to you, because my move's nearly 130 miles, but I was very impressed by what I've seen of this company: https://www.straight-there.co.uk/1 -
