My Quartz kitchen worktop cracked last weekend from the sink to the edge of the stone (total length 75cm)
I contacted my insurance company Legal and General but they won’t pay as it’s not accidental damage!
the cost of a replacement is £7500!
is this right? Should I accept this?
if anyone can help that would be great

What do you believe was the cause of the damage?
Was it caused by some type of accidental incident? e.g. Something heavy accidentally fell on it.
TBH, if it just cracked in normal use, that suggests it had a defect or perhaps it was fitted incorrectly. If that's the case, you could try pursuing the supplier and/or fitter - but it depends on the precise details, including how old the worktop is.
(And damage resulting from defects and/or poor workmanship definitely won't be covered by your home insurance policy.)
