New Buisness Start up-From Employed through lockdown

Hi all,
i was furloughed in march like many others working as an agency worker via an umbrella corp? 80% NMW as a result.
this ended as soon as the employers had to sustain pension contributions etc and the contract of employment Was pulled from all the contractors. even as a temp worker there was nothing i could do about the contract ending.

i have however Baught a van and started working for myself, i have injected cash into a business started a marketing campaign (facebook) and i am waiting for work to start to trickle in.
ive not as yet registered as self employed as my last furlough payment was the end of july.
my question is, is there any available help for anyone like myself? start up grants? Covid-19 help etc etc?

if anybody could help it would be great

Regards

Are you on JSA?  If so, NEA may be a possibility.
    Also Start Up Loan.
  • No I don’t claim JSA orNEA
as I need to stipulate we have work Comeimg in bit it is very slow due to It being a start up. I was focusing more towards a grant as I don’t want to put the business in a negative position with borrowing etc

You've only just started your business so there's no grants available for you to claim. You can of course look at claiming universal credit, use a benefits calculator to check entitlement. A claim for UC will end any tax credits you may already be claiming.
