Energy Company Bullying Tactics

I live on a farm and have 3 separate electric accounts, sadly all with Scottish power as they took over on the demise of Extra energy. They have never been out to read the meters since extra energy folded in 2018 and have been so far out with every bill as they had the incorrect MPANS and meter numbers. I have e mailed them with the correct MPAN and meter readings etc on numerous occasions but still it is not correct. As of today one account is nearly 3500 units out, apparently the meter readings that they had from Extra energy was wrong and they cannot change that! (it will not let me enter correct numbers online!) They have sent out debt collection agencies as well as issuing court summons to me (which they cancelled at the last minute.) I have spent over 70 hrs trying to sort this out (Alongside running my own business!!) The bill is still not correct and say I owe in excess of £3000, (it should be about £2200!) which I have said I am more than happy to pay when they get the bills right and pay me the correct and fair compensation for my time and the embarrassment of having debt collection agencies come to my house! All they have offered me is £250. I have insisted that they come out and read the meter before I will pay as I want them to see the errors and put it right but also I want to be compensated for my time, the court threats and debt collection agencies coming out as this has caused me a great deal of stress and embarrassment! It has gone on for nearly 18 months!! HELP Please

I mean... sounds like it's an issue that isn't easily solvable if it's been going on for 18 months.
Have you been able to prove what your meter readings were when Scottish Power took over Extra Energy? - ideally at that point in time you should have taken your own readings to sort out at the time.
MPAN wise - if Scottish Power won't/can't sort out the issue then best bet would be to switch to a different supplier when you can to sort it out.
If it means taking the £250 compensation and taking a £550 loss on the issue to actually get it sorted, then that's a decision you need to take.
If you run your own company then 70 hours of your time would definitely be worth more than £5500
