High gas bill

Im a mother if 4 live in a 3 bedroom property. I am with Utilita for gas and electric. My DD was 82.86 in start then went up to 121.00 then i was told im using too much and DD put up to 185.86 ive told them i cant afford it. They cant tell me where too much gas is being used. I dont know how to find out either. How do i check? We dont even put radiators on im worried about the winters now. Please let me know who can tell me where im using too much gas.

    You will need to check your bills to see if they have an estimated reading or an actual reading. Do you submit meter readings frequently? If so when was the last time you did? If you can scan a copy of your last bill, with all personal stuff hidden do & people will be able to help you.
  • Check your central heating thermostats?
    are you on any benefits that may allow you to claim the WHD?

     Check the serial numbers of the meter and on the bill.

    Have you had your meters changed recently?  

    PS You may be better taking your supplies from different suppliers - dual fuel is generally more expensive.

    Has your fix run out and  are you now on a standard (ie expensive ) tariff ?

    What type of gas meter do you have?  Can you read it daily for a few days and post the readings back here?

    Does the meter have m3 or cu/ft stamped on it somewhere?
