Is it normal to have this ripple type wave effect when scrolling and is there anything that can be done to stop it?
Thanx

You haven't given much info to work on, in that you don't say what application you are using!

But, guessing you are using IE on a fairly low spec PC, do you have "smooth scrolling" turned on? If so, try turning it off, as it is more resource-intensive. You can also have poor scrolling if you graphics card is not working optimally (for example if the manufacturers latest drivers have not been installed and it is using the generic Microsoft ones).

One of the reasons for 'rippling' (if i understand this correctly) is incorrect display settings (VGA). Have you recently changed your display settings and/or video card??:)

Thanx it is on my daughters pc and its a fairly highish spec and win xp pro, I can't check at the moment as I'm not there now but I will have a look at it when I'm back there again. I think its explorer 7 and her son plays lots of games on it. I didnt know there was a smooth scroll setting and it sounds a good idea about updating the graphics card.
    Thanx

sounds like the video driver has re-set itself, check the resolution that the monitor is running on, 1024 * 768 as a min, and if you have a driver disk for the video card re-install it,
