Morning all, slept late this morning and still aching so a quiet day ahead.I have to sort out the fridge freezer as some of the drawers have gaps, hopefully I can get a spare half a drawer if I juggle with the contents (I made some room yesterday as I took out a bag of summer fruit and made a crumble) There is room in the chest freezer to accommodate the As*a delivery which will arrive tomorrow morning. It will be a surprise as to what turns up, I've read that a lot of things seem to be missing from the sm's here, I've already lost the vinegar and ginger but neither were very important........ for now anyway. I think that the S.E. will be put in lockdown soon, our cases are small in this borough, but neighbouring ones are climbing every day and I think people are starting to panic buy again. My downstairs need cleaning but I don't know if it will get done today, I'll show willing anyway and try to do something.Take care all, stay safe and keep wellnan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

Morning all.
A weekend of going out. Well going out yesterday, for lunch with the family to celebrate DGD's 8th birthday. It's the first time I have been out to eat since lockdown and I did enjoy it. We went to a lovely little restaurant on the edge of the small airfield on the Island. We sat in the garden and watched tiny planes coming and going. Except DGD and her friend who ignored the sunny garden, planes and other interesting goings-on and chose to play in a dark concrete corner under some stone stairs. Kids!
Back to reality today and housework. Well, either housework or some more interesting displacement activity. No prizes as to which is more likely.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Just back from Lidl where I asked a man to wait at the checkout because he was too close. I'd loaded the belt but didn't move forward because the person in front was still there, so I maintained my 2m. The man behind obviously couldn't wait and started loading his things right next to me. I'm sure he thought I was making a fuss over nothing but now I'm watching the news about another possible lockdown because of idiots like him.9

Back home Chez Nous after a wonderful few days with both daughters, separately, as they live 90 miles apart. Lots of cuddles with 4 week old granddaughter. Covid regulations meant her mummy had to go to the Registrar's office in the city without her. As she is breastfeeding and not yet allowed to drive (C section) and buses out of the question, we took them along and OH and I played doting grandparents pushing the pram over cobbles as little one was getting hungry and the bumpiness soothed her.The arbour still catches the late afternoon sun, so we had our cup of tea there. Glad to see so many of you there too!!! Jack the Beanstalk produced many beans whilst we were away and the tomatoes in the front garden have ripen beautifully in the afternoon sun too.5
