Timeshare Covid Points deferral

Diamond Resorts won’t allow 2019 points to be deferred to 2021 even though we weren’t allowed to go to Spain in June and USA this month has anyone else had this problem

were the points fixed to those locations? would you have been able to use them for other resorts that were open? (UK resorts reopened in July so you could possibly still use them this year - lockdowns permitting!)0

Never sure how this diamond membership is worked except we have friends who have it and I know when there has been any issues with flights they book an alternative in UK so I think Caz’s suggestion is probably the way to go. Having said that you may not find it easy booking anywhere! In which case I would have thought they should allow some points to be carried over! I suppose the t’s and c’s don’t cover a pandemic situation? If you can’t book anything do you just lose money? Doesn’t seem right. But... not sure what or where you go for answers- sorry0
