Let's hope it is a genuine offer, but I wouldn't hold my breath !!0

Wife just received the same email and was suspicious.
She instead went to the Lastminute website, logged in to her account and there was the same request and a button to click to fill in the details.
So, seems legit. But they really are stupid for sending an email that has all the hallmarks of phishing! All they had to do was send an email requesting that you log into your account!0 -
So they asked for bank account details? Hardly a secret? There is probably a lot of people with these details LOLThe world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0

Hi, my partner has just received a similar mail from Lastminute.com asking for Bank details-is it a genuine mail and did you actually receive your refund? Been waiting for a refund from them since the last 10 months and they've only just reached out about it through a suspicious looking email. Thank you for your help!0

Recent contact may be something to do with them being told by the CMA that they've got a week to repay £1m in refunds, or face legal action.

We asked for a refund from lastminute.com and received an email saying it had been processed (but may take up to 10days).
When it didn't appear, they said their records showed it had gone through.
They then asked if we could send them a pdf copy of our credit card statement to prove it hadn't been paid.
Absolutely NO chance of us doing that and it is none of their dammed business. I asked for them to send proof to US it had been paid. "Sorry sir - we can't do that"
I then contacted my credit card company who agreed that we should NEVER give a statement to a third party.
We then went through the disputes/Section75/Chargeback form and sent our details and copies of communications ( I LOVE Section 75!). They could not have been more helpful and agreed with us that we should NEVER send a bank statement to a merchant.
The credit card firm will now deal with this but you have to demonstrate that you have tried to resolve with the merchant first.
I think this is a common problem at present with travel firms. One of the option buttons for the dispute type was "Travel Companies"
