Now that the evenings are getting darker I am trying to get the SMJ ElectricalTimer Switch DT4B1C to work. I have the Manual. It says it is easy to set and I am really struggling - I'm afraid I can't make sense of it at all.
I was hoping (and I have searched with Google) to find something easy to follow on You Tube.
If anyone can help at all I'll be more than grateful. I have spent hours this evening trying to understand and make the instructions work - with no success all. (It is this one as advertised on Amazon: "
I would really be delighted if I could make just one setting for a small lamp to come on seven days (Monday-Sunday) at about 8 p.m. and go off at about 9.15 pm. I would need to be able to set 'today's' day and time first and I have not even managed to do that.
If anyone has this timer and can help, or knows of a You Tube link - thank you very much. I've spent such a lot of time on it, all to no avail, and I'm feeling quite frustrated - especially since the timer is said to be easy to set.

Thank you Neil_Jones. I'll try following your instructions and post back later. The link for the instructions yo very kindly provided is the one I already have.
I tried so many times yesterday and wondered, as it had been lying unused for nearly two years, if it was broken. I appreciate your reply.Retired_Saver ... UPDATE at 10.44 a.m. I can only think I must have had brain block yesterdy. First time, following your instructions this morning, Neil_Jones, it seems to have worked. I'll know better later if the lamp comes on, as I hope, I have set it to, here this evening for when it becomes dark. Many thanks again.Retired-Saver0
