Court claim vs CEL

I came here for support after telling my missus to hold steady as she was crying and ready to cough £170. My claim to fame is that I won the first case against Devere in Bournemouth a few years ago for parking-thank you Couponmad, Bargepole and P who remains msysterious.
Back to CEL, we filed the defence and witness statements for a case hearing. We were allocated a slot and waited for an hour plus and didnt get the call from the court. This morning we got a letter from the weasels at CEL that they withdrew the case two days ago. I have worked hard on this case and took a day off so did my partner. Is there a costs template please. This is not acceptable.
But great news thank you all and hope I posted in the right section.

Well done, but do continue on your own thread so everyone can see the background! Report your win on there, for completeness.
How about changing the title and using this thread to plan a court claim v CEL. That's the only way to try for your wasted money but you'd have to word it as per Clay v CEL (misuse of data under the DPA) not costs.
See attached judgment.
BTW, please don't thank a nasty bullying little weasel of a man who has/had (hoax or not, who cares) no place in the fight v PPCs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you Couponmad, hope all done correctly. Prefer your approach. Kindness costs nothing! Thank you0

Great! OK, so somewhere I have the paperwork for the Clay case. @bargepole was behind it and wrote the particulars of claim I think.
AND - please now make a real difference - A TASK FOR SEPTEMBER.
The Government is (this month only) consulting about a new statutory code of practice (CoP) and framework to rein in the rogue parking firms. Read and comment on the draft CoP proposal and the enforcement framework consultation, and get everyone you know to do the same.
You will need to register to comment on the CoP and enter an occupation even if you are retired or a homemaker, but otherwise it is easy to navigate, and comment upon each section/subsection individually. You can save comments to edit later and or submit comments once you are happy with them.
https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/projects/2020-00193#/section
You do not need to register to comment on the enforcement framework which can be found here. It has a link on page 5 to make comments.

At the very least, we say the parking charge level should be £50/£25 or higher level £70/£35, as per Council PCNs in E&W.
And we say the added fake 'debt recovery' costs are just double counting the cost of letters, and MUST GO because that is unfair and illegal.
Please be heard. You can bet the hundreds of PPCs will be commenting. No apologies for repeating this vital 'call for action' to consumers, on every thread this month!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Fab, if Bargepole can assist to sort CEL for good. I should have spent the day with patients yesterday rather than being messed around. Much appreciated thank you
