Travelodge change/voucher required

I've got a room booked in Edinburgh for 3 nights and when we were still in lock down although it was a saver booking they were allowing changes to other hotels at different dates or a voucher.  At the time it wouldn't work for me (as in I couldn't get it to do it online) and because my husband and mother were shielding due to COVID and I was mega stressed I left it thinking I could revisit it at a later date.  I have just gone on to sort it out and now the only thing you can do is change the date but it must be at the same hotel and we don't want to travel all the way to Edinburgh from Doncaster.  Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks.

Is this a past or future booking?   Sounds like the date hasn’t yet arrived?  If so are you sure the offer to rebook actually applied to you? I am thinking it may just have been for holidays that were due when the hotel was closed?

If so you will probably have to wait to see what the situation is then. The way things are going there could be further closures of venues.    Other than that you may not have the choice to rebook and may lose your money if it is your personal choice not to travel to Scotland.
