3. Memorandum received on my Purchase - July last week
4. Memorandum sent on my sale - Aug 1st week
5. Draft Contract on my Purchase received - Aug 1st week
6. Draft contract sent on my Sale - Aug 1st week
7. Search reports (Premium Plus Planning, LOCAL AUTHORITY SEARCH, Drainage & Water searches) ready - September 1st Week
2. I made offer on new House - July last week
3. Memorandum received on my Purchase - July last week
4. Memorandum sent on my sale - Aug 1st week
5. Draft Contract on my Purchase received - Aug 1st week
6. Draft contract sent on my Sale - Aug 1st week
7. Search reports (Premium Plus Planning, LOCAL AUTHORITY SEARCH, Drainage & Water searches) ready - September 1st Week

Q1. Not clear how things are progressing in this case..? Is this going slow or OK speed. ..? ?
Q2. Not clear when my solicitor should start talking about completion dates..? I asked once but haven't got any reply yet. What instruction I need to give him now..? What I felt is things will be very slow until you follow up. Am I close to ask for a completion date?
Q3. Do I need to give any specific Instruction to my solicitors about my mortgage..? Already informed him its Approved. I gave my Lender my solicirors details while applying mortage . Do I need to give any other instruction to my solicitor on my mortgage related paperwork and engagement with lendor solicitors..? Or it might have started already by default as gave details to lener already..?
Sorry so many question..Keen to see this completed as Covid situation is going up again.!!

You might be better on the 'waiting to exchange' thread which must be around here somewhere.
It's all likely to take an average of 12 weeks. Maybe longer atm due to lack of staff and people's availability etc.
I certainly wouldn't be worrying for taking about completion after only 7 weeks.

Q2. No point asking about completion dates until all enquiries on both sale and purchase are satisfactorily answered.Q3. Your lender will send a copy of the mortgage offer together with instructions to your solicitor. Your solicitor is acting for the lender as well as you and will report anything of note to them.0 -

Is your solicitor not on your lender’s panel? My solicitors is not on my lender’s panel. Do I need to do some extra work or my lender's solicitor & mine will link up by default..?0

Yes they will.Did you have a good reason for not choosing a solicitor who was on your lenders panel? You will now have to pay 2 lots of solicitors to do the same work...0
