Money from Spain house sale, best way to transfer euros to sterling or open euro account in the UK

I'm just selling my house in Spain
I've already lost over £500 on the exchange rate on the deposit
What's the best way to transfer the money over please? I don't need to use it yet until the exchange rate improves
Or can I open an international bank account in Euros?
Are there high interest accounts anywhere either in euros or sterling and or advice on investing a minimum of £50k
Many thanks

Try asking in the Banking board, as this doesn't really have anything to do with buying or selling property.0

Holding Euro's may well cost you money. As accounts are rarely fee free, Might as well bite the bullet and put the funds on deposit in sterling. A new no Brexit deal isn't going to favourable to you in the short term,2

I use Transferwise often and I've never had problems with it.3

The best way, assuming you already have the money in a bank account, is to open a foreign exchange trading account. The disadvantage of this method is that you will need to learn something about foreign exchange trading simply to operate the account. If the money is not in a bank account you may find Moneycorp a good option as they have a Spanish office and may be able to accept cheques directly. Please let us know what you finally decide.1
