Email notification issue (Android 10)

I have two gmail accounts set up on my Moto G7 Power running Android 10.  I get the "incoming" sound and  I get the dot on the mail icon when an email comes into my primary account, but I don't get anything when one comes in to the other account.  It arrives and I can open and read it and so forth, and it's all good - except for the fact that I don't get the notification.

I've tried Googling this and working my way through what apparently-relevant settings I can find, but to no avail.  So ... how do I get it so that I get notified of incoming messages to both my gmail accounts?

Open Gmail app / setting / select your Gmail account on which you are not getting notification. Turn on Manage notification and select notification for all email. Make sure you have not selected some label or notification for high priority mail only.
Also make sure under setting Sync Gmail is checked. if this option is unchecked then you will not get notification for new email.
