Worth Perusing Ryanair for Refund? - Unable to move flights

Appreciate peoples thoughts on this:
I was due to travel on the 14th of July with my young daughter and wife to Barcelona. At this time The Foreign & Commonwealth Office advises British nationals against all but essential international travel to Spain. In the weeks leading up to the flight I attempted to change my flight or cancel it.
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office change advice on the 10th of July saying that travel was allowed, and the need to quarantine would be lifted. Just 4 days before I was due to fly, but the change / cancelation had already been requested via the online chat.
During the time I would have been in Barcelona, On Friday 17th July the Catalan government announced restrictions, ordering people to stay at home, not to travel and “avoid the streets”. On the 28th July new restrictions to Spain are reintroduced, and remain in place to this day..

I have attempted many (7) time to contact Ryanair, asking that I should be allowed to move the flights.. Each time a standard response comes back..
( I have even had the same reply to blank email! )

The mail says "If your flight is scheduled to operate and you choose not to travel, there is no refund due. However, flight changes can be made prior to departure."
This is what I wanted to do. However on the website it did not give me the option to move to any date after August..
I suspect that this is because my daughter turned 2 and would need a seat. The "system" could not handle this change in passenger numbers..
This meant I could only move my flights by 30 days, in the middle of a pandemic. No option or add or remove passenger. discrimination?

I accept I will have to pay the "applicable fee and fare difference", but it never gave me that option..
Worth fighting? Or right this one off?
Thanks

So just to clarify? Your flight actually went ahead on the day you booked for? You didn’t get a postponement in the time frame allowed? Personally I don’t think you will get anywhere now. You probably were classed as a no show? I doubt you will have any info in your account section of Ryanair website any longer. Have you checked.Sorry but looking from here that you have to suck it up. Not great, lots of people in same situation but Ryanair will probably take the stance that you could have got on the plane. Or rebooked to August? If flights had been cancelled- different scenario.0

But as I was travelling with a child I didn't get that option...0
