I am looking for some advice, I received a mail from Sky to renew my contract, with an offer £4 cheaper than my current contract. Strange I thought, but it is not a scam. On reading terms and conditions , Minimum term 18 months, sky can increase payment as and when they like, and if I try to break the contract I will be fined. This all seems as if Sky could in Theory increase my payments every other month and I would be charged if I broke the contract. I cannot reach sky by phone, or email. I am a pensioner, and I really don’t know what to do, as I can’t discuss it with sky and obviously spending is something I monitor closely. Any advice would be appreciated.

Normal we may raise price in contract .( usually once a year )Contract term yes they usually require you to pay it .Probably identical terms in your old contract as they have been in many ISPs contracts for a number of years .0

Phone them up (never mind what the message on the website says, just hold on past the message on the line and it will eventually put you through to somebody) and say you want to leave. You may get a better offer then. There are freephone numbers to call which will also save you money.Alternatively: Work out what channels you watch. If the bulk of your viewing is what's available on Freeview, just cancel the lot and stick with the Freeview offerings. If you want the pick of the Sky stuff without the bulk of the cost, Now TV will give you the key Sky channels at a much cheaper rate than the satellite equivalent, the caveat being a slightly more clumsy interface and internet streaming, but its cheap and no contract.0

I dont have any problems with my headphones whilst wearing hearing aids. I use bluetooth noise cancelling over the ear headphones to listen to music or the TV. Just find yourself a pair which sit comfortably over your ears and aids. TBH why do you really need hearing aids in when you've got headphones on anyway
I've also got a small bluetooth transmitter which I plug into the back of my small TV when we are away in the caravan.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

I may be mis-understanding the comment about headphones, but you don’t have to use headphones to watch streaming TV channels.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums.
