Park watch Fine

Hi, new to this thread so thank you for your patience. I have read the newbies post but I am unsure whether or not I can appeal so appreciate any help.
I double parked my car over two spaces, not by a bit I was in two spots. (I know I'm going to sound like an idiot for doing so but I do work in one of the shops and didn't want anyone denting or scratching my car) Is there any grounds for appeal or any way out? Thanks again in advance for any help.
Also can post pictures if needed.
I received the letter through the post with two pictures of my car parked within two bays.

Depends on the PPC and whether it was a windscreen PCN.

And yes, that is terribly selfish parking.  I hate seeing cars across two bays. Stop being so precious about your car, it's a piece of metal!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Yeah lesson learnt, it was sent through the post, nothing on the windscreen and the company is Parkwatch
Anything I can do? Thanks again.

You can read the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum , written and updated by coupon mad because it lays out the appeals route

You certainly cannot and will not win with your story and the circumstances , so any win is on a technicality

If you can find a technicality , then you should win , but nothing is guaranteed
  • Ok, thanks for your help.

Im not 100% sure as I was parked over two spaces, I'll ask and get back to you but I doubt it.

    No, employer won't.
Then it is on to plan B, appeal using the template in blue text from the NEWBIES. Read up on what to do next if/when it is rejected.

Get pics of the site and signage as well.

This is not a fine, this is an invoice from a scammer, possible an ex-clamper for compensation for the damage they allege they suffered as a reslt of your dastedly behaviour. Pay them not a penny unless a judge orders you to.Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP., it can cause the

scammer extra costs, and in some cases, cancellation.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up later this year,

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these companies, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • Thank you everyone for your help, I understand that I shouldn't double park and I have learnt my lesson, I will be appealing and will update with response from park watch. Thanks again
