PPI lack of response from BMW

Ive bought 8 vehicles from my  local dealerships all had PPI as confirmed by my salesman. I made a claim before the deadline...26,8,19 l have contacted the salesman who has verbally confirmed my claim is valid but has refused to disclose all details after me sending emails phone and post for Subject access request , l am now in contact with the financial Onbudsman. Iam convinced the dealership is acting unlawfully  and maybe much more. Has anyone else had this problem  with BMW or any other organisation thanks sebborn57

  • If you have reached a deadlock with the lender, you can escalate to FOS.

However, it is likely to take several months to be resolved.  The salesman also won't be the one investigating your complaint, so you need to confirm that you send your complaint to the right location. Similarly, with the SAR.

The Salesman is not the right person to deal with your complaint, having said that he should know the procedure i.e. to have referred your complaint on to whoever the dealership has appointed to deal with PPI complaints which may or may not be in house. He is also not the right person to deal with SAR.'s
Was PPI included in the finance and provided by the lender (typically Alphera on BMW's) or was it on a stand alone basis? If it's standalone it won't be the lender who is responsible.
If you give me the name of the dealer (or Group) I can look up the appointed PPI complaints contact or you can check it for yourself on the FCA website.

Were any of the PPI sales after January 2005 or before?

Which salesman would confirm that he has a valid claim - he wouldn't be dealing with it?
