Gap in gutter at the corner join - is this right?

I have just had some old cast gutters replaced with new uPVC. I found a local tradesman with good recommendations, they seemed to be honest.
However at one of the corner joins of the new gutter they've fitted, it seems like one of the lengths was too long, so there is a gap where it has had to bend around the corner. Is this normal due to off the shelf materials, or should it not be like this? When I compare it to the neighbouring property it doesn't look right to me. I'm concerned about water running off the roof and straight down the side instead of in the gutter.
I'll ask him about it, as they're coming back Monday/Tuesday to do some roof tile replacements. However I'm just checking here beforehand incase he says its all fine and it isn't all fine. Ignore the bonus free bit of tile/material.

I have tried to upload a photo at a flattering and unflattering angle.

It doesn't look it to me! Aim a hose at the roof, if water comes cascading down beyond the gutter - you've a problem!1

No it's not correct. A piece of the gutter needs to be cut to make it the correct length.
Hope his roofing's a bit better.2 -
It's wrong get them to fix it

Ridiculous. It would take no more than a couple of minutes for a decent tradesman to measure and cut to the correct length.
