Easy jet refund!!!

Hi any advise welcome. I booked a flight for 2 back in January for July. I was shielding at the time until August following government guidelines. I’ve contacted Easy Jet twice over the phone & twice on their customer email attaching my government letter, but it just bounces back! I’ve contacted my credit card company but they said as it’s not down to the airline I couldn’t travel I’m not covered with them. Am I likely to get my £480 back???

Was the flight cancelled?  If not then they wont care you were "shielding" and you need to speak to your travel insurance.

You took the UKs governments "advice" to shield. Unfortunately if the flight was not cancelled as it appears it was not?

Then you have decided not to travel, it is called "disinclination to travel"

Would assume now no refund from Easy Jet and insurance will probably be the same.
