Please would anyone happen to know if there is a difference between these products or if it is just different packaging. First one is from Tool Station and its called Repair Range and other is B & Q but does not mention repair. Its for sorting out our walls after a re-wire, don`t want to buy the wrong one.

Are you using it for filling in wiring chases etc? Easifill is fine for anything up to around 5mm deep but anything over that takes ages to dry. I'd recommend getting a bag of bonding plaster to fill the chases to within 2 mm of the surrounding surface before finishing with easifill. There's very little difference between the two you've linked. One is just marketed towards filling the joints in tapered edge plasterboards. Either will do the job though0

Many thanks for your reply. The electrician plastered most of the chasing out he did, but recommended this to get a good finish and also I have been doing some wallpaper stripping and small patches of plaster need sorting. Both of the bags of Easifill are within a couple of minutes drive from home so can get either, whichever is going to be the best for the job.0

go for the easifill 60 then. sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs here...... I'd feather the filler past the chases slightly and sand back using a block and some 120 grit sandpaper. You'll get a lot of dust from easifill but if you have an old hoover you can have running nearby whilst you sant, it will stop the dust getting every where.0

Hi, no you aren`t, your advise is really great and I appreciate your help. That`s the one from Tool Station, the one that`s the `Repair range`?
I bought a Henry hoover last week to clear up the dust which was everywhere, so am prepared

the one from toolstation will be fine. don't feel like you have to mix the whole bag in one go. I'd start by mixing a small amount till you get the hang of it. Maybe around 250 ml water and keep adding the powder and mixing until you get a nice smooth consistency (something like peanut butter but not the crunchy variety :-) ). apply with a filling knife or if you are doing long chases, maybe invest in a cheap 12" plastering trowel as that'll make it easier and quicker for you.0

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your advice and how helpful this has been.
Hope this isn`t a daft question but am assuming 5kg is a fair size bag for what I need it for and will make a decent amount of plaster (they do 10kg but that sounds a lot)0 -
If the electrician has already filled most of the chases and you're just doing the last bit, 5kg should be enough. It's hard to guess without seeing how much there is to do. Last time I bought some I think it was only about £5 more for a 10kg bag and it usually lasts for a good few months. Once you start, you'll find yourself searching the walls for little holes to fill - or maybe that's just me0

I`ve just seen they do this, which might be better for me
sets in 45 mins instead of 60

Once again, thank you. Am going to get the 10kg bag to be sure. Its as you say only £5 more.0
