Travel trolley refund

Can anyone please give me advice on getting a refund, my husband booked flights on skyscanner threw travel trolley to Canada in jan 2020 the gov advice said no travel to these countries and canada was not allowing uk visitors, emails have been back an forth to travel trolley but just getting nowhere now we are being ignored, we paid by debit card aswel 😣

If the flight operated and you simply couldn't enter due to restrictions in Canada, you're not entitled to a refund.
If the flight was cancelled by them, then you are entitled to a refund or credit.
It all depends if the flight operated or not; if it did you're out of luck. FCO advice is just that; advice only - and entry requirements to a specific country aren't the concern of the airline.0 -
As above, if you chose not to travel then you won't be due a refund from airline, agent or payment card, but check the terms of your travel insurance to see what cover that provides.0
